First, Allyssa, the new patient coordinator was able to answer all... my questions and set us up with a phone consult to begin as soon as possible & ensure we were a good fit.Dr.Dobracki is very thorough and has never made me feel rushed. He not only answers my questions but offers in depth insight so I can better understand my son’s (& my own) oral health, as well as fully informs me on his recommended protocol & steps forward. He is direct, knowledgeable, and efficient.As we’ve worked with the office, Allyssa & Jess S are very quick to respond to my questions and help me get exactly what’s needed. They connect me directly with Dr.Dobracki’s responses if my questions are more clinically based and are sure I get a fully informed response. They feel more like friends and my questions are met with compassion and enthusiasm to truly help us with any concerns - which is a completely unique experience when working with a dental office.Everyone in office helps me to feel empowered in our oral health decisions - supporting a more conservative & holistic approach with a vast amount of knowledge and experience to create a successful experience not only for the appointment, but with the mission of enhancing oral health for longterm.My son also appreciates Como, the friendly dog available to greet & help ease anxieties.I’m grateful I’ve connected with Ann Arbor’s dentist and that they can help serve our family, even though we travel 2.5 hours for in person sessions. I think that it's important for people to have a clear understanding of what they are getting into. I have been looking... for a dental office for some time. I found Ann Arbor's Dentist on-line and they put forth a holistic and patient centered vibe, and I fell for it. However, after going through the process of submitting x-rays and submitting my new patient form, I received a text message from them indicating that I have to set up a phone consultation "before" being seen to start building "a customized care plan" for me, which costs between $164.80 and $515. (See the attached picture.) This leads me to believe that AAD is merely a money making scheme and is what is termed "a physician centered practice" and not the patient-centered practice that I am looking for. There is another negative review on here which underscores my concerns that AAD is a money making machine. (I did review the complaint filed with the BBB and would recommend reading it BEFORE you try to become established with AAD.) If they were transparent with their requirement for a consult and their pricing, I would have never gone through the process of submitting my x-rays OR the patient form. I wasted my time because the terms and conditions were not clear. Now that the terms are clear, I'm out. (I have also called several times and each time have been sent to voicemail and am forced to leave a message.)This is not a fraudulent review. I have attached screenshots of the text message I was sent from the office trying to schedule me for the phone consult.read more

Holistic dentist you are at the right place. There are many different things that make this office the Best dentist... around. 1. Dr. Dobracki & Dr. Lindsay are awesome & best dentist. 2. Hygienist in the office are all amazing Karen & Chantel. 3. Front desk are Mary checks you in and is very personable. 4. Back desk Melody is knowledge and helps you with your dental insurance stuff and payments. 4. You know how much your appointment is going to cost. 5. Dental assistants are amazing. First off the office is very easy to find. I didn't get lost which is a plus because I normally get lost. One of the main reasons I made an appointment here for the specific day was for my child to be with the therapy dog. We... get there no dog nobody notified me ahead of time either. My child struggles with dental anxiety so this was the main reason for the appointment. That wasn’t the only issue my daughter had maybe a 2 min exam and I showed them an X-ray from my phone because they wanted to take extra x rays. They charged me $100 for looking at the image on my phone (interpretation of image sent to us) I was charged for oral evaluation . First person appointment insurance write. For a 2 min exam and looking at a X-ray from my phone the total bill was $395 unbelievableread more

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and very personable. Amber was the hygienist and assistant for... my daughter's visit and the care she demonstrated for my daughter was nothing short of exceptional. My daughter doesn't warm up to strangers real easy, especially in that type of environment, but Amber read her stories, had her laughing and was able to explain things to her in a way she understood. This visit was not a good one. The office was busy, so they numbed my gums and sent me back out into the waiting room.... I then had to have a second dose. By the end, it too was wearing off and I could feel the drilling. I was crying with the pain. They had to give me a break before finishing. It was not pleasant!read more

I regret choosing Dr. Keith Dobracki and Ann Arbor’s Dentist for myself and family. Our first visit was our last with... $4,000 down the toilet and a lot of frustration. The business model is backwards- Proper scientific practice says to assess and test before implementing change. It’s a waste of a patient’s money to have a consult before being assessed in the dental chair. It seems that the main reason for Dr. D’s pricy “consult” is to decide the new patient’s service plan for their first visit to his dental office. And AAD doesn’t seem to deviate from this plan, even after they see the patient and can understand the patient’s needs better. In my complaint to the BBB for poor services rendered, AAD even admitted: “A dentist cannot tell what a child's oral health or behavior challenges may be until they are examined and seen in the office.” I felt that some of the services “planned” were pushed on us without proper time for review. Some even seemed no longer appropriate. And I felt too rushed in the office that day to dispute each charge. On their end, it’s in the “plan” and that’s what they blindly follow.I went to Dr. Dobracki to find answers on what I believed to be bad dental genetics. My boys have decayed and broken teeth; one boy has anxiety. AAD knew, at that first visit, they would refer my boys out to a specialist but STILL tried to take their own, unnecessary x-rays. With my child’s anxiety, AAD was not even able to take a good oral exam or x-rays but I still got charged. When I requested a refund for poor services rendered, I was ignored. I took my complaint to the BBB and the only response from AAD put the blame on me and further said I wasn’t being a team player. After that, I was ignored. Ann Arbor’s Dentist and Dr. Dobracki don’t care about honesty, integrity, or even building client satisfaction and trust.read more

She was able to make me feel completely at ease! Explaining everything to me in understandable terms, Amber also listens to a concern of mine and was able to use a "mouth guard" to improve my comfort level from the last time I had this procedure done on another tooth. She worked in a professional manner and confidently carried out the responsibilities of her job. I look forward to my next visit with her!read more

The wait time before appointments can be lengthy, but not always.Update:I've been going to this practice for years, and my appointments have almost never started on time. My doctor experiences feel more rushed and less personal. The prices are on the high end as it is, and now they charge extra for using credit cards. However, I honestly don't know if a patient will have a better experience anywhere else. I do like the hygienists and dentists, I'm just not sure how I feel about the business side of the practiceread more

I was initially very impressed with the way I was treated by this practice. Unfortunately I can’t recommend them to... anyone. I’ve had multiple issues with billing questions and them trying to force me to purchase supplements and services I did not want. The finally straw was being forced to wait 30 minutes to check out today. When I finally went back to the payment area, the woman said she forgot about me. I am pretty sure I was charged for nitrous oxide that I didn’t actually need or want today. I wasn’t offered a detailed receipt and my multiple questions about another product that I was charged for despite me not wanting it have never been answered.The skills of the actual dentist and associates who do the work in the chair are great. I just don’t trust the business side of this practice at all.read more
